Back at the ole' homestead my poor little canary has been non-stop laying eggs and I've just given up trying to stop it. She has lost all the feathers on her bottom and most of her back. She seems happy, actually singing (unlike female canaries) but the eggs just keep coming...
Now to share a few sketches that I've been working on. I know they should be on my art blog and they will but for now enjoy. The first one is blurry but you can see it an get an idea how it is to be. I will eventually paint them. The first one, blurry and all, is of the oldest, B at the beach in Destin some many, many years ago but I love the picture. The second is of my Daddy, fishing at our lake place. The last one is of a basket of Daddy's tomatoes and "fake" eggs and the basket is a very old egg basket that was my Momma's.

looks like some great paintings planned there.
Can't wait to see the paintings from the sketches - looks like they will be awesome!!
Clayton is just adorable! I know he must be a lot of fun. Can't wait to see the paintings from those sketches. Good subjects.
Great drawings, Jill. Will those eggs hatch? They look quite big for a little bird.
Thanks all. No the eggs won't hatch. Unfortunately the male died this summer so she's just playing "a chicken" and I raid the nest.
