Hands

Today I was sitting in The Hubby's truck getting at the grocery store with my hand hanging out the window. I looked in the side mirror at my hand and was stunned by how aged it had become. Wow, what happened here.

This is what I looked like at age 4:

And this is what I saw today:

What happened to that little girl so many years ago. She's still here somewhere beneath the extra skin and hefty body. Now don't get me wrong, I like myself. I may not be too happy with how the body has kind of let me down but I don't make myself nuts over it. It is what it is. I have other things to get all bent out of shape over than to worry about the shell. I need to get the engine and brain happy.

I see you in there!

Hands don't age well, do they? An aging hand is a sign of hard work, perseverance. Determination. The least attractive hands tell the best stories. Wear them well.

You and your hand look great. I can however recommend Neutrogena F85 & Strivectin to prevent aging!

I always say you can tell a woman's age my her hands...I know I can on mine. But I love hands...they have character and beauty, strength. Beautiful sharing. Have fun at the parties.

I have had the EXACT, same feeling you described. I guess the good news is we HAVE hands and can move them about at will. There are those who would be envious of us for that...My hands look like my Moms and somehow I find that comforting. They're not nearly as pretty as they once were but I love the fact that through them my Mom is always with me...Great Blog!

You know, Jill, your hand is very lovely and still firm and youthful. It's fun to see that photo of you as a baby. I can see you easily in that baby face.
