This weekend was yet another fun weekend at the cabin retreat. Friday night was lots of wine, sloppy joes, music, friends, and lots of wine. We spent the evening on Harri and Jimbo's deck with tons of people but I was ready for bed by 9:30 via a bottle of wine. It was a wonderful time.
Saturday was just the day was just beautiful. We had sun and warm temps and lots of wind but it was a great day. I took a long walk with Harri and spent the morning blogging on her deck. The evening brought the dinner party at out cabin for 17. The Hubby smoked ribs and chickens and one of the guests brought brisket. I oven roasted potatoes and my famous oven roasted sweet potatoes. I also did some oven roasted asparagus with red peppers. Everyone else brought salads, appetizers, desserts and lots of laughter and chatter. It was an awesome evening and I think everyone seemed to have a fabulous time. The evening began about 6:30 and the last guest left about 11:30. It was a great time with friends.
I have to tell everyone that I might not be able to blog this week because I'm reporting for jury duty tomorrow morning. I just don't know what to expect. I had jury duty, municipal court exactly a year ago but this is district so I have to do it. I'm a little nervous, mainly on trying to find parking and getting to the doorway to check in at the exact time. I'm a little anal about that kind of stuff. Every time I think about it my stomach knots up. So my fix tonight is a lot of wine so I can sleep tonight and not have my mind run away with weird thoughts. I've spent an nice evening with The Hubby, dinner and wine and!!!!! So tomorrow, well, we'll see...
Night everyone.....
