Random 5 Friday

It's that time of the week for the Random 5 Friday hosted by A Rural Journal.  Here's my contribution for the day.

1.  Don't you just hate it when you have to pee in the middle of the night but you just can't wake up to go and the urge invades your dream.  If that happened when I was a young girl I might actually pee in the bed...true!

2.  Mammogram last week.  Was a bit nervous because it's a MAMMOGRAM, and second, because I was about 6 months late getting this years done, or last years, or whatever.  Letter came and I'm good!  Whew!!!!

3.  Please DON'T let me encounter a Girl Scout selling cookies.....NOOOOOO..... I will eat them all!

4.  Old man winter is not through with us yet...here he comes again.

5.  Clayton, our sweet boy. Isn't he handsome!

Smash Your Boob Day

Today may not be the National Smash Your Boob Day, but it's mine.  I don't have to be at the office for a few hours so I decided to take a bit of time and do some beauty treatment before the smash part of my day.  Lovely huh!  I know that in a couple of weeks it is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure here in Tulsa so I'm right in line for my duty as a woman and getting my boobs smashed today as should everyone!  So go, make your appointment now.

Smash Your Boobs Day - Day 1 of NaBloPoMo

Today was my annual Smash Your Boobs Day.  Actually, I'm a month early for observing National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and to be exact October 15, 2010 is National Mammography Day.

Today is also the beginning of September and I will again try to post everyday of the month.  It's kind of fun and the theme for the month of September is ART.  How perfect for me, this new artist.  I may not be able to post about art everyday but will regale all with my wisdom and words...HAHAHAHAHAHA...made myself laugh.  You can always check out my art on the art blog (click on the right hand side).

The prompt for today is "What's you favorite work of art" at National Blog Posting Month.  I have to think about this one.  I don't know if I really have a favorite work of art but I have a favorite form of art.    As and artist I love to paint with oils.  I love to look at watercolor art but I know that is not a medium I am capable of doing, at least at this stage in my training.  I also love realism in art.  I think there might be another name for it but I am a realist in my art also.  One of my favorite artist is Jeffrey T. Larson.  His stuff is AMAZING.  So real you can not believe it.  I have a couple of his giclee's and they are my prized possessions.  Check his stuff out, you'll love it.
