In Mourning

A sadness is upon me this lovely fall day.  What, did I say, fall!  That is the problem.  Fall is here, it is upon us and I am in mourning.  I am mourning the end of summer, or what little summer we've had. Fall is quite lovely but I do so love the summer and our summer was almost non-existent this year.  Not enough of the hammock dwelling that I so enjoy.  Oh well, on to warmer clothes, hot tea or cocoa, soups and fires in the fire pit.  Bring it on.

Weekend Happenings!

Today I will spend my day doing this, not painting but laying in my hammock.  Looking at the sky, wondering, daydreaming, sleeping, reading, and contemplating the universe.  This will be all you get from me today!
Finished this one!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Double Nickel

Yesterday I had yet another days, a birth"day". I turned 55, a double nickel. I dreaded turning 50 but 55 is not bothering me. I spent MY day as I wanted to, at the cabin, in my hammock. I read magazines and my book. I took lots of pictures of a pesky squirrel, flowers and birds with my new camera and I even napped a bit. Later that evening a bunch of us went into a local township for Mexican. It was yummy and I was even toasted to! Yes, I had a great birthday. Here's a peek at what my camera caught.
