Life is a series of choices.  Today yours are good ones.

Today's Fortune Cookie fortune is my mantra.  I truly believe that life is a series of choices.  I believe that there are paths, roads, doors, whatever you want to call it that you are faced with everyday of your life.  How you approach those choices or opportunities is how you make your life flow.  They could be as simple as choosing a greasy cheeseburger for lunch versus a low calorie chicken raspberry salad with low fat dressing, to changes in career paths.  You are faced everyday with choices good and bad, how you use those choices is what makes your life.

p.s.  went to doc, my doc on wednesday and I have a sinus infection   
after nearly three weeks of a sore throat, finally, feeling better today
thank goodness for antibiotics

Well, well, well, this sweet fortune I had forgotten about in my pile of fortunes.  It came true last year when my best friend from high school came back into my life.  It has been such a wonderful thing to have her back in my life again, she enriches my life.

This has always been my motto but I say it "Always expect the unexpected."

It's like preparing for a storm, or the pop quiz the next day.  You just never know so be ready and don't be surprised, if that is possible!

Today at lunch The Hubby and I had lunch at the usual hangout, Bangkok, finished off the meal with our standard fortune cookies.

My fortune:  A new pair of shoes will do you a world of good!

The Hubby:  An unexpected payment is coming your way!

Well, most ladies would identify with my fortune but I hate shoes and hate it worse if I have to shop for them.

The Hubby's is wonderful and we would love that unexpected payment!

Sunset

I took a wonderful ride on the golf cart last night and enjoyed a beautiful sunset...

The water is down over the dam but still very, very high.  At least the wigwam (community building) didn't flood this year, so far.

The ride was by myself.  I was feeling a bit lonely and sad and had the feelings a hurt a bit.  I'm fine today!  Friends are coming tonight for dinner which means I have a TON of work to do today.  The screened porch is NASTY with pollen so I have to move all the furniture out and scrub it off along with the floor.  Then I promised to go play a bit of Texas Hold 'Em at 1:30.  I had better run and get busy if I am going to do that.  I can already expect an allergy headache after the cleanup! 

Update:  I am NOT a lottery winner.  Rats...I just knew after my fortune cookie yesterday: 

"Life is a series of choices.  Today yours are good ones."

A couple of weeks ago I received this one:

"You will inherit a large sum of money from an unusual source."

I just knew this was the day for the big one, but...

The Hubby got this one yesterday too:

"You shouldn't overspend at the moment.  Frugality is important."

Rats...ruined my chances I think!
