Dachshund injured and in need

Alert....A friend of B's Friday saw a very unnerving incident on Friday here in Tulsa on 11th Street. She was driving along and witnessed a man hit this poor little dachshund, sending it rolling. The guy just drove on, never even stopping. Another car saw it happen too. A got out of her car along with the other driver and they scooped the little guy up in their arms and put him in A's car. He had a collar but no name. She took him to a vet who said his little back leg is broken and that it would cost between $700 - $1500 to fix. So far she has had over $500 in donations to fix the little guy but he will need a home or maybe the owner can be found. The main goal is not money but to find him a home. He is very sweet and gets along great with her Boston terrier and their cat, of course the meds for pain could be helping a bit with that. He is not neutered but has not had an accident in her house yet. If you are in the Tulsa area and are interested contact me here and I'll forward to A. Oh my, The Hubby just walked in and said a neighbor of ours just called and a black lab mix by our house was just hit in a construction zone and she whisked him to a vet. He will probably need a home too...WHAT IS GOING ON! It's dogs, dogs, dogs everywhere...Too bad we made a decision last night that we are getting a DOG!!!!! Yup, in a few weeks. A friend has to find a home for her little guy because she is traveling so much and because we have said many, many times we would take him because we love him, well, it looks like we will be 4-legged owners again. Pictures will appear when we get him. Now check out the dachshund...

I am way up here in Canada, but I wish you good luck with both dogs and with your new addition coming! Can't wait to see pictures!

poor babies - this is why I believe dogs should be house dogs. the pugs never go outside our gates unless they are on a leash.

Awww I wish we could take him, but with 3 cats we're already outnumbered.

It seems like a week for rescue missions!
