Yes It's 4 a.m.

Yes it is 4 a.m. and I am awake.  Here it is Saturday morning and we are in town this weekend and I could sleep in but Nooooo!  I am awake at 4 a.m., not even the usual time of 5 when we usually get up.  What is WRONG with me!  First it is my sciatic nerve acting up then my mind started whirring and I am AWAKE!  Crap!

This weekend I plan on painting, painting, painting.  I have just not had time to put the attention to some stuff and I have a lot of competition/shows coming up.  Unfortunately, my friend Linda and I got our "DECLINED" notices on the American Women of Art online juried show.  😞  I told her that it's the first time we've actively put ourselves out in the national arena and it was good experience and we always have the next one to enter, which is what I am about to do.  We probably will get hundreds of rejections before acceptance.  There are so many artists out there in the world.
This early A.M.  I am going to enter into another national competition and we will see what happens.

The pink roses is one I actually started a couple of years ago but it was so bad it was in the pile to burn but I have a show coming up in Broken Arrow, again, and it is the roses thing, again.  I saw this in the garage and decided it could be redone.  So I totally repainted it, background, vase and roses.  I am going to touch up the leaves again this morning a bit but it will be done and then I will do another something because we can enter two paintings.

I went to Whole Foods yesterday and bought flowers, flowers, flowers.  Maybe today I will make them show up on the canvas.  Can you tell I'm a bit obsessed with pink lately!

P.S.  Update on the ill people in my life.  MIL is getting better.  She was over her infection but had laid around so long, not eating or drinking that it took a toll on her 89 year old body.  NOTE:  When older EAT and DRINK no matter if I have an appetite or not!

Bro is getting better, slowly, no pneumonia, but a case of the flu (yet again) and bronchitis, which he battled many times when he was a young lad.
