An Object of Beauty

Recently I finished listening to the book An Object of Beauty, by Steve Martin.  I have to say he is a very intelligent writer, at least that is the word that pops into my head as I am listening to his words.  The book was about a lady, Lacey, that is involved in the world of fine art, in acquisitions and collecting in New York and abroad.  Sometimes I was ready to put it aside but I persisted till the end and I liked the book.  As you read, of course the title of the book is about a well known phrase, "an object of beauty" that is often times associated with art, literally.  My mind has wondered to all kinds of associations in life that are objects of beauty:

A flower
a bird
children
spouse
sunrises
memories.

What is an object of beauty for you!

i love the little red house. There are so many stories just in that one picture....the ladder, the water trough, the garden, and the porch. Thanks for sharing.
