Sunflower

Just a quick post before I head off to the cabin this AM. I did payroll last night and thought about leaving for the cabin last night but I KNEW The Hubby was going to the dance thing. I was afraid that he would want me to go again so I had to be ready. I was shocked when he just said, "See ya later. I'm going." Whew, dodged that bullet. By that time I was stuck in town and too tired to drive up there. So here I sit this morning moving slowly but planning on leaving before 10 for the cabin.

I wanted to share my latest endeavour in painting. I'm trying to do this one on my own so bear with me. I have a lot more lessons to get through to feel comfortable with tackling things on my own but I HAVE too! This one is from a photo A took at our previous house many years ago just at dusk in our backyard. I always loved so am attempting to paint. I am not happy with the background but we'll see what happens. It is NOT finished so please understand there is a bit more to go.

I like it a lot, too. Especially the shading that makes the petals look perfectly turned up. Once you decide how you want the background, you will love it, I'm sure. Have a great weekend. Susan
